Each year, Wale brings in the New Year with a special performance and 2014 was no different. Bringing the best in D.C. hip hop, Wale brought all clappers to the front at Fillmore Silver Spring with the help of local musicians.
Wale also took time in his set to address the recent Complex magazine situation, where he went off on an editor there for leaving him off of the list of The 50 Best Albums of 2013.
“I was wrong for my actions. I do not apologize for my past. I do not apologize for my anger because every one of you motherfuckers believe in me,” Wale said to a screaming D.C. crowd. “You act like n*ggas ain’t making D.C. proud.”
